Also known as \"tunnel-vision,\" this type of head gear disallows the horse to see to the sides of him\/her. Compression masks apply compression to acupressure points, the temporomandibular (TMJ) and endorphin release points in the horses' head and poll. DDSP is a condition not uncommon in racehorses and causes upper airway obstruction and poor performance. This is a non-surgical solution for DDSP.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-9\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\"><strong>P<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"column-2\">Pacifiers<\/td><td class=\"column-3\">Pacifiers are similar to blinkers however the eyes are entirely covered by mesh, offering restricted vision. Pacifiers were originally invented with a view to preventing eye injuries from flying debris in a race, however they were quickly found to help many horses stay more settled.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-10\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\"><strong>S<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"column-2\">Steel shoes<\/td><td class=\"column-3\">Steel horseshoes are preferred by most equestrians since they are the most durable easily worked in the forge and less expensive but they are heavier than aluminum.
