The grids form a key part of the Formgrids system. A grid usually represents a race result for a horse and is colour coded to make it easy to see at a glance the place the horse achieved in that race.<\/p>\n

The first two characters reveal the venue code.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Track<\/strong><\/td> Abreviation of the venue name (track) plus the surface the race was run on.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Date<\/strong><\/td> The month and day of the race.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Sequence No.<\/strong><\/td> Sequence No. (short for race sequence number<\/strong>) is a number that indicates the order in which the races were run prior to the race and after the race (for Results and LBH)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Distance<\/strong><\/td> The race distance, usually in metres.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Merit Rating<\/strong><\/td> The rating of the horse as calculated and assigned by the applicable racing authority.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Weight<\/strong><\/td> The weight carried by the horse. The jockey plus additional weights.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Weight Diff<\/strong><\/td> The weight difference between each of the races.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Position<\/strong><\/td> The finish position attained by the horse in that race.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Going<\/strong><\/td> The conditions of the track. Includes \"soft\", \"very soft\", etc.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t LBH<\/strong><\/td> The Length Behind<\/strong> the winner.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Draw<\/strong><\/td> The draw number for the starting gate drawn for the horse.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Formline\u00a0%<\/strong><\/td> A percentage value calculated for the strength of the formline.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Speed<\/strong><\/td> The speed at which the horse ran that race.
